well, seb had his 4 month doctor appointment today and here are the results:

14 lbs (i’m rounding up)
26 in long (don’t know when this becomes ‘tall’ instead of ‘long’)
42 cm head cirumference (yah, i’m probably spelling that wrong, and i would also like to point out that his head size is average! : ))

so he’s healthy and growing, and he finally fits into his backpack!

Well, this page has been pretty dormant for awhile. So here’s a little update on what the boy has been doing:

* Holding his head up (as the images on the home page attests to). Most mornings when we get him out of bed, he’s in his crib, holding his head up, drooling, and looking around.

* Using his hands. He’s grabbing things now, and occasionally can get something into his mouth, though this probably has more to do with the object being in the way as he tries to put his hand in his mouth, but it looks cool.

* Laughing. This started in earnest this evening. Very cool. We’ve got video that I’ve got to compile into a Quicktime movie for the site.

Most of this has happened in the past week. A lot of people told us we wouldn’t notice the little things since we see him every day, but it really is amazing how he changes every day. And it is noticeable.

Seb went to the doctor yesterday for his two month (!!!) exam. Here’s his current stats:

Weight: 10 pounds
Height: 23 inches

Quite a growth spurt. He was in lower 25% in both those categories the last time he was there…now he’s in the 75th percentile (I think).

He also received his innoculations yesterday…4 to be exact. Yoikes!

A lot of people have been asking us about the name Sebastien….I’ve always thought it was a cool name, and I really like the nickname Seb….the name is Latin or Greek (depending on who you ask), and it means venerable or revered.
